The joys of writing for Mirth Provision's social channels: you get to have fun, you get to be slightly irreverent, and your tone should sound like you're everyone's best friend. Because–well–you kind of are.
Mirth's brand identity involves elevation, ritualization, and breaking stigmas of the cannabis industry. Their goal is to normalize and break away from the traditional taboos associated with cannabis enthusiasts.
My tactic with social channels, in general, is never to add to the noise, but instead provide something of value. In my first week as social media writer, I grew Mirth's Instagram following by 7% with 56 new followers. In three weeks I hit the channel's Q2 goal (4 months early). After 6 months, I grew the channel over 100%.
